Klaipėda expands sports infrastructure with new football dome

Construction of a new football dome in Klaipėda has reached a significant milestone with the inflation of its dome structure. The project, valued at approximately 3 million euros, is being implemented by UAB Agorta.

Klaipėda Mayor Arvydas Vaitkus stated that the facility is a vital investment in sports infrastructure, allowing children and youth to train year-round regardless of weather conditions. The dome reaches a height of approximately 25 meters and has been designed to meet European Union safety and comfort requirements.

Essential engineering networks, including water, sewage, gas, and drainage, are already installed. Current work focuses on the surrounding area, including pedestrian paths, transport zones, and utility corridors. While primarily intended for football training and matches, the facility may be adapted for other sports in the future.
