Klaipėda Festival hosts symphonic and international orchestra performances
The Klaipėda Festival is hosting a series of major musical events, highlighted by a performance of Karl Jenkins’ ‘Symphonic Adiemus’. The event, held at the Klaipėda State Musical Theatre ‘Jūra’, features the KVMT Symphony Orchestra alongside large choral groups from Western Lithuania. Chief conductor Tomas Ambrozaitis noted the scale and emotional architecture of the piece, which has become a global phenomenon.
In addition to symphonic works, an international orchestra festival has been drawing significant crowds in the coastal city. The program has fostered collaboration between Lithuanian and Latvian musicians, including performances by the Mirage Jazz Orchestra and the Šiauliai Big Band. Attendees and performers have praised the festival's growing atmosphere and the active engagement of the local audience.
