Klang Valley flash floods triggered by heavy rainfall

Heavy rainfall triggered flash floods across several areas in the Klang Valley, including Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. Affected locations included Setiawangsa, Wangsa Maju, Ampang, and areas near the National Zoo.

Social media reports indicated rising waters near the Setiawangsa LRT station and roads leading from the National Zoo, where a bus reportedly broke down. In Ampang, visibility was significantly reduced due to the intensity of the downpour. In Elmina, Selangor, severe weather and storms disrupted local events.

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MET Malaysia) issued thunderstorm and heavy rain warnings for the region.
