Klang/Bild Festival to held in Mannheim in October 2026

The Klang/Bild Festival is scheduled to take place from October 8 to 11, 2026, at the Alte Feuerwache in Mannheim. The third edition of the event will feature a mix of music films, audiovisual performances, and discussion formats.

The opening program includes the performance ‘chroma. control: Mannheim’, which uses video analysis of the city and river landscapes to influence real-time electronic sound processing. Other scheduled screenings include ‘Monnem Tracks’ by Donni Schoenemond and a documentary titled ‘Noga’ regarding Israeli singer Noga Erez.

A new component of the festival is the Klang/Bild music video contest, which will debut on October 9 following a panel discussion on the history and evolution of the music video format.
