Klapa Bokelji marks 60‑year anniversary with concert in Zelenica, Montenegro
The legendary klapa Bokelji will celebrate its 60th anniversary on Saturday, 8 August 2026 at 21:00. The free concert takes place on the plaza in front of the café bar Marinero in Zelenica, Montenegro, and will feature guest klapas from Dalmatia.
Founded in the summer of 1966 at the last station of the historic narrow‑gauge railway, Bokelji have performed over 1,200 shows across the former Yugoslavia and Europe, recorded three LPs, and sang in Moscow, Belgrade and Berlin, even performing for Danish Queen Margrethe II. The ensemble received the Herceg Novi October Award for its cultural contribution. After more than two decades of silence, the group has been revived with a new generation of singers from Herceg Novi and Tivat, preparing for competitions throughout the Balkans. Seating is limited, so reservations are advised at 069 555‑012.
