Klarna has released its Consumer Report 2026 for the Spanish market, highlighting significant shifts in consumer habits during the back-to-school season. The report, conducted in collaboration with research agency Appinio, indicates that households are increasingly relying on financial planning and flexible payment solutions to manage the high costs associated with educational supplies, clothing, and electronics.

Data shows a strong trend toward digital price comparison, with 89.4% of Spanish shoppers systematically comparing prices across different platforms before purchasing. Additionally, the study highlights the importance of loyalty programs and digital discounts, as 72.5% of consumers use accumulated loyalty points to reduce costs, and 68.4% actively seek out discount codes to optimize their seasonal budgets.
