Klaten hosts 2026 Fire Safety Challenge

The Klaten Fire Safety Challenge 2026 was held at the Klaten Alun-Alun on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. Organized by the Klaten Regency Government through the Satpol PP and Fire Department, the event served to commemorate the 222nd anniversary of Klaten and the 81st anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia.

Forty teams participated in the competition, divided into two lines. The participants included 16 corporate emergency response teams from companies, hospitals, and state-owned enterprises, as well as 24 volunteer teams from various sub-districts. The competition was categorized into corporate emergency response teams for building management and district volunteers for environmental firefighting.

Acting Regional Secretary Jaka Purwanto, representing Regent Hamenang Wajar Ismoyo, emphasized that the event is intended to build a culture of safety and community preparedness. The competition aims to train emergency responders in life-saving techniques, first aid, and the implementation of fire safety management plans.
