Kazimierska wins mile at Athlos meeting in London

Polish middle-distance runner Klaudia Kazimierska won the mile race at the Athlos meeting in London. Competing against a field that included Georgia Hunter Bell, Jessica Hull, and Dorcus Ewoi, Kazimierska secured victory with a time of 4:19.43. For her win, she received a $65,000 prize and a crown designed by Tiffany & Co.

In Copenhagen, at the World Athletics Street Running Championships, Agathe Guillemot of France won the women's mile with a time of 4:22.74, setting a new European record. The race saw podium finishes by Ethiopia's Freweyni Hailu and Kenya's Mirriam Cherop. During the same event, Polish runner Weronika Lizakowska set a new national record for the street mile with a time of 4:34.27, finishing 17th.

In the men's mile competition in Copenhagen, Germany's Robert Farken took first place with a time of 3:51.80, followed by the USA's Yared Nuguse. In the 5km race, Dawit Seare won for Eritrea, setting a new national record, while Jakob Ingebrigtsen finished second, setting a Norwegian record.
