Kleve: Cyclist killed in collision with truck on B220

A 59-year-old cyclist from Kleve died following a collision with a truck on the B220 Emmericher Straße on Tuesday, September 22, 2026. The accident occurred around 1:20 p.m. when a 24-year-old Spanish truck driver attempted to turn right into Postdeich. The cyclist, who was traveling in the same direction, crossed the junction at the moment of the collision.

The cyclist sustained fatal injuries at the scene. The truck driver was physically uninjured. Police specialists and a crash investigation team have taken over the scene to determine the exact cause of the accident. The B220 was closed between Postdeich and Klever Ring during the investigation. Victim protection officers were called to assist the driver and witnesses.
