KLIA Aerotrain maintenance causes passenger congestion

Significant passenger congestion occurred at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Satellite Building due to the operation of only one Aerotrain service. The situation arose following routine maintenance work conducted during the early morning hours.

Airport management clarified that the single-train operation between 12:00 AM and 5:00 AM was a scheduled part of engineering hours. Officials denied any technical malfunctions, stating that maintenance schedules are displayed on information screens throughout the Aerotrain service areas. Passengers were advised to plan their travel accordingly, as waiting times may increase during periods of sudden passenger surges during these maintenance windows.
