KLM expands India operations as Air India cancels Copenhagen route

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is expanding its operations in India for the upcoming winter schedule, increasing its total weekly flights from the country to 27. This expansion includes increasing the frequency of its Delhi to Amsterdam route to up to 10 flights per week. The move coincides with the airline celebrating 70 years of service in New Delhi.

In contrast, Air India has announced the cancellation of its direct route between Copenhagen and Delhi for the 2026/2027 winter season. The final flight on this route is scheduled for October 23. This reduction follows previous service cuts by the airline, which cited airspace restrictions and high fuel prices as factors impacting the profitability of certain international routes.
