KLM resumes Amsterdam‑Tel Aviv flights after months suspension

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines announced that it will restart its scheduled service between Amsterdam Schiphol and Tel Aviv on 25 August, operating daily with a Boeing 737‑900. Each flight will make a technical stop in Larnaca, Cyprus, where the crew will overnight before continuing to Israel.

Tickets for the route have been on sale since 6 August. The service had been suspended in October 2023 after the Hamas attack on Israel and the ensuing Gaza conflict, which led KLM and other European carriers to halt flights for safety reasons. While KLM paused the route, Israeli airlines such as El Al, Arkia and Blue Bird continued to operate between the two cities.

KLM said the resumption follows a new safety assessment, but the airline will keep other Middle‑East routes—including to Dammam, Riyadh and Dubai—suspended until at least 24 October.
