Kluftinger crime series enters 14th volume with ‘Blendwerk’

Authors Volker Klüpfel and Michael Kobr are releasing the 14th installment of their popular Kluftinger crime series, titled ‘Blendwerk’, on October 1, 2026. The new novel follows Inspector Kluftinger as he investigates the death of an influencer found in the Eistobel near Grünenbach, navigating the intersection of the real world and social media.

The series, which has been running since 2003, is noted for its chronological progression, allowing readers to follow the character's development through each volume. While the books have moved through different publishers—starting with Piper, moving to Droemer Knaur, and currently with Ullstein—the narrative remains continuous. Ullstein is also re-releasing the first six volumes in new editions starting in 2026.
