Kámen Castle reopens after three-year reconstruction

Kámen Castle in the Pelhřimov region is reopening to the public on August 29 following a three-year general reconstruction. The renovation includes a new Baroque facade and the completion of a visitor center featuring natural wood interiors.

The castle is notable for its unique collection of historical motorcycles. The reopening will feature an exhibition of mototrials in the castle courtyard. New display methods have been implemented, replacing old raised platforms with updated arrangements to showcase artifacts such as the rare Čechia-Böhmerland motorcycle and a cycling race lead motorcycle on loan from the National Technical Museum.

Castellan Zlata Vobinušková stated that all routes, including the chapel in the lower castle, will be open for free on the first day of reopening.
