KMN holds fourth symposium on migration and social integration

The Kooperative Migrationsarbeit Niedersachsen (KMN) held its fourth annual symposium in Nienburg, focusing on the potential of migration within society. The event, organized alongside the districts of Nienburg and Diepholz, brought together professionals from schools, counseling centers, and social services to discuss social openness, diversity, and civic courage.

Kathrin Woltert, Social Commissioner for the District of Nienburg, addressed the challenges of social integration, emphasizing the need for individuals to foster a sense of belonging to prevent the formation of parallel societies. Workshops during the event covered topics such as the professional resources of migrant women, media discourses regarding racism, and the consequences of discrimination.
