KMT Hsinchu County leaders mobilize for elections and local ESG initiatives

Kuomintang (KMT) Hsinchu County Chairperson Yang Wen-ke held a meeting to mobilize party resources for upcoming elections. Alongside KMT Hsinchu County mayoral candidate Hsu Hsin-ying and Zhubei mayoral candidate Wu Hsu-chih, Yang emphasized the need for unity across thirteen townships and cities. He urged party members to set aside personal interests following the nomination process to support the collective team and strengthen grassroots organization.

In a separate local governance matter, Hsinchu County Councilor and Zhubei mayoral candidate Wu Hsu-chih proposed an ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) demonstration project for Douzipu Creek. The proposal suggests establishing a 'Zhubei ESG Sustainability Matching Platform' to connect government, corporations, and residents. The plan includes zoned river adoption, technological water quality monitoring, and the creation of a sustainability fund to support long-term river revitalization and ecological protection.
