KNAB seeks new undercover operatives in Latvia

The Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau (KNAB) is recruiting new undercover operative employees. The agency is offering a gross salary of 2,000 euros during the probationary period.

Key responsibilities for the role include information gathering and analysis, as well as implementing operational measures permitted by the Law on Operational Activities to secure evidence for criminal proceedings. This work involves tasks such as person surveillance, monitoring, and intercepting conversations. Operatives are also responsible for identifying criminal networks and their contacts, as well as compiling and preparing information for further investigation.

KNAB clarified that the role involves more than just field surveillance; operatives spend significant time in offices analyzing data, assembling information, and preparing procedural documentation. Due to the high level of confidentiality and responsibility, the position requires strict adherence to internal procedures and legal regulations. This includes limitations on public communication and social media use to prevent the disclosure of professional activities or contacts.
