KNDS Mobility unveils Celeris 8x8 armored vehicle mobility kit

KNDS Mobility has introduced the Celeris 8x8, a modular mobility kit designed for armored vehicles weighing up to 36 tons. Unveiled at the MSPO 2026 defense exhibition, the system is not a complete vehicle but a comprehensive component package intended to accelerate the development of new military platforms.

The kit includes an engine, transmission, axles, suspension, and onboard electronics. By providing these core components, KNDS aims to allow manufacturers and armed forces to bypass lengthy research and development phases, potentially enabling the deployment of locally produced vehicles within approximately one year of a program's start.

The Celeris 8x8 supports both chassis-based and monocoque constructions, making it suitable for infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, amphibious variants, and heavy logistics trucks. This new offering expands upon the company's existing Celeris 4x4 kit, which is already utilized in vehicle programs across five countries, including Finland.
