Kneecap delivers political performance at Reading Festival

Irish rap trio Kneecap delivered a politically charged headline performance at the Reading Festival, using their set to express solidarity with Palestine and criticize political figures.

During the performance, the group displayed a Palestinian flag on their DJ deck and directed verbal criticism toward Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The band members stated it was important to use their platform to highlight what they described as displacement, colonialism, and forced starvation in Palestine.

Additionally, the group targeted Andy Burnham, encouraging the crowd to call him a ‘wanker’ following his comments regarding a united Ireland. The set included tracks from their latest album, FENIAN, as well as previous releases such as ‘Get Your Brits Out’ and ‘3cag’.
