Kneecap hip hop trio begins South American tour

The Belfast-based hip hop trio Kneecap, consisting of Móglaí Bap, Mo Chara, and DJ Próvaí, is conducting a tour in South America following the release of their second studio album, ‘FENIAN’. The group is known for rapping in Irish Gaelic and incorporating themes of anti-colonialism, the history of Northern Ireland, and solidarity with Palestine into their music.

During their visit, the group is scheduled to perform in Bogotá, Colombia, at The Bonfire, marking their first appearance in the region. They are also slated to perform in Chile at Club Chocolate on October 21. Móglaí Bap noted that the group’s music serves as a medium for the narratives of colonized peoples, often providing perspectives that differ from official historical accounts.
