Knicks NBA Finals tickets top $7,000 at Madison Square Garden

Ticket prices for the NBA Finals games held at Madison Square Garden in New York have skyrocketed. The get‑in price for Game 3 rose to more than $6,000‑$7,000, a jump of about 1,148 % over the Game 2 price in San Antonio. Listings on secondary markets showed the cheapest seats around $6,000 while the most expensive reached $197,861 for premium locations. For Game 4, the minimum price on major platforms exceeded $11,000, with some tickets listed for over $740,000.

The surge has drawn criticism from Knicks forward Josh Hart, who called the $7,000‑$8,000 tickets “ridiculous” and said many fans who have awaited this moment cannot afford to attend. Purchase data showed that roughly two‑thirds of tickets were bought by fans from New York and New Jersey, while only about 1.6 % came from Texas.

The high prices reflect the limited supply of seats at the historic arena and the excitement surrounding the Knicks’ first Finals appearance since 1999, but they also highlight a growing affordability issue for the average fan.
