Knorr-Bremse partners with Infosys for AI-driven IT transformation

Knorr-Bremse AG has entered into a long-term strategic partnership with IT service provider Infosys to accelerate the AI-driven transformation of its business processes. Under the Tech4Value program, Infosys will provide end-to-end managed services for Knorr-Bremse’s entire enterprise application landscape.

The agreement covers both the Rail and Commercial Vehicle divisions. Infosys will take responsibility for the complete application environment, including core SAP systems, data platforms, and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems containing critical design data.

A key component of this modernization is the integration of generative and agentic artificial intelligence via the Infosys Topaz platform. This shift aims to move away from traditional human-led service teams toward an AI-driven operational model where autonomous agents can detect and resolve system disruptions, increasing both reliability and flexibility.
