Know Hub Chile and Navy extend PROA I+D 3 technology call

The PROA I+D 3 initiative has extended its call for proposals until September 20 at 23:59. This program is a collaboration between Know Hub Chile and the Technological Innovation Center of the Navy (CiTA), supported by ANID and Corfo.

The initiative aims to bridge the gap between academic research and practical naval and maritime applications. It targets research teams across Chile with technologies at a maturity level of TRL 2 or higher, meaning they possess a validated technological concept backed by preliminary evidence rather than a finished product.

Selected teams will not receive direct funding but will instead participate in an eight-week methodological accompaniment process. During this period, researchers work with Know Hub Chile and CiTA to align their developments with specific user needs through a process known as “beneficiary discovery.” Eligible fields include engineering, biotechnology, artificial intelligence, environmental monitoring, and various other sciences.
