The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has issued a formal warning to prospective students and parents regarding a surge in fraudulent admission and accommodation schemes. The university stated that no official undergraduate admission list for the 2026/2027 academic year has been released.

Scammers are reportedly using social media, WhatsApp groups, and third-party websites to pose as authorized agents. These individuals offer to guarantee admissions, secure hall placements, or arrange room bookings in exchange for money and personal documents.

University Relations Officer Dr. Daniel Norris Bekoe advised applicants not to transfer funds, share admission credentials, or disclose passwords to anyone claiming to represent the institution. KNUST emphasized that all official information regarding admissions, fees, and accommodation must be verified through the university’s official website or by contacting the Admissions Office directly.
