Öko-Test evaluates facial creams and skin serums
Öko-Test has conducted a comprehensive review of 32 rich facial creams, evaluating products from drugstores, supermarkets, and pharmacies. The study focused on creams designed to support the skin barrier during cold seasons. Twelve products received the highest rating of ‘very good’, including Lidl’s Cien ‘Tagespflege reichhaltig’ priced at 1.65 Euro, Alverde’s ‘Reichhaltige Tagescreme Bio-Wildrose’ from dm, and Nivea’s ‘Tagespflege reichhaltig’. Notably, all tested creams priced under five Euro achieved at least a ‘good’ rating, while several more expensive products costing over 20 Euro performed poorly.
In addition to cream evaluations, the report highlights specific skincare solutions such as the elf ‘Holy Hydration! Triple Bounce Serum’ available at Rossmann. This vegan and cruelty-free serum contains 1.7 percent hyaluronic acid in three molecular weights, alongside squalane and niacinamide, to provide hydration and anti-aging benefits.
