Ko Wen-je endorses Chang Chia-yün at Yunlin festival

Ko Wen-je, the founder and chairman of the Taiwan People's Party, attended the Hungwei Zhongyuan Cultural Festival in Yunlin County on August 27. During the event, Ko appeared alongside Chang Chia-yün, a Kuomintang legislator and candidate for Yunlin County Magistrate, signaling potential political cooperation between their parties.

Ko praised Chang for her long-term dedication to securing construction, medical, and educational resources for Yunlin. He stated that based on their past interactions during his tenure as Taipei Mayor, he believes she is a serious worker who understands local needs and would make a “good magistrate.”

Chang Chia-yün expressed gratitude for Ko's support and emphasized her commitment to local development. She stated her intention to build upon the previous eight years of administration under Chang Li-shan while introducing new policies focused on families, youth, and industrial upgrades to encourage younger generations to remain in the county.
