Koalicja Obywatelska alleged to dominate management of Warsaw and Bielsko-Biała hospitals

Polish media reports allege that hospitals in Warsaw and the Beskidzkie region are controlled by members of the Civic Coalition (Koalicja Obywatelska). In Warsaw, officials are accused of appointing party affiliates to supervisory boards of municipal hospitals, allowing a young doctor to work up to 19 hours a day across several facilities and obscuring public oversight of EU health‑fund allocations. Critics also highlight inadequate climate control in new surgical blocks and the use of public hospitals for political campaigning.

In Bielsko‑Biała, a PiS lawmaker described a network linking the municipal oncology centre to KO politicians, including a senator, her husband who serves as chief physician, and local councilors. The centre is said to have hosted campaign‑related medical screenings and displayed party symbols on its premises, suggesting a privatization of public health services for electoral gain.
