Kočani police investigate drone intrusions into private residence

Residents of an apartment building on Dimitar Vlahov Street in Kočani reported two separate incidents where an unknown person flew a small drone into their home during the night of September 10–11.

In the first instance, the drone entered through an open terrace door and flew directly into a bedroom, waking the occupants. During an attempt to retrieve the device, it struck a glass pane. Shortly after, the drone reappeared and entered the bedroom a second time, penetrating approximately one meter into the room. The family attempted to knock the drone down before the operator successfully retrieved it and fled.

The victims suspect the drone was being used for unauthorized filming of the family while they slept. The Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed that police measures are underway and a public prosecutor has been notified. Authorities have also requested the Civil Aviation Agency to check for any reported drone activity in the Kočani area during that period. The Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Kočani is currently working to identify the individual responsible.
