Kobbie Mainoo defends Michael Carrick amid Manchester United slump

Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo has expressed confidence in manager Michael Carrick despite the club’s recent struggles. The team has gone two months without a victory across all competitions, recording six defeats and three draws since their last win on September 9.

Speaking ahead of a critical UEFA Champions League match against AS Roma, Mainoo urged teammates and supporters to remain positive. He stated, “It feels like we’re one win away from changing the situation. It’s been a tough season; we haven’t got the results we wanted, but we need to look forward now.”

The club's poor form has increased scrutiny on Carrick, though the Old Trafford hierarchy has publicly reaffirmed its support. The upcoming fixture against the Italian side is seen as a vital opportunity to shift the momentum of the season.
