Kobe hosts youth science and career experience programs

Various educational and career-oriented programs for youth are scheduled to take place in Kobe, Japan.

The Science Festival for Youth 2026 is set to be held at the Bando Kobe Youth Science Museum on September 5 and 6, 2026. The free event features over 40 science booths, workshops, and stage shows designed to spark interest in science through experiments such as creating crystal towers and observing low-temperature phenomena.

Additionally, the ‘Kodomo Work in Kobe 2026’ initiative included a professional experience program at the átoa aquarium on July 31, 2026. Supported by the Nippon Foundation, the program allowed elementary and junior high school students to experience the duties of an aquarium keeper, including tank cleaning, food preparation for animals like Aldabra giant tortoises, and learning about artificial seawater.
