Kobe to host city-wide Moomin collaboration event

A large-scale tourism and collaboration project titled ‘MOOMIN x KOBE PORT TOWER a part of KOBE’ is set to take place in Kobe, Japan, from October 10 to November 30, 2026. The initiative aims to revitalize the city's major tourist zones, including the Kobe Port Tower, the waterfront area, Sannomiya, Motomachi, and the Kitano Ijinkan district, by integrating the world of Moomin into the urban landscape.

Key features of the event include themed experiences at various local landmarks. Kobe Port Tower will offer special novelty tickets and themed decorations. Local hospitality providers are participating with exclusive offerings: Hotel Okura Kobe will feature Moomin-themed collaboration rooms, while Kobe Meriken Park Oriental Hotel is launching special accommodation plans that include limited-edition leather luggage tags and Moomin-themed afternoon tea sets.

Other participating venues include Hotel La Suite Kobe Harborland and various cafes and museums, which will offer themed sweets and menus. The city will also be decorated with Moomin-themed flags across the waterfront and Motomachi shopping districts to enhance the immersive atmosphere.
