Kobe to host major bakery festivals in October 2026
Kobe will host two significant bakery festivals in October 2026, showcasing a wide variety of regional and national bread makers.
The 7th Bread Festa will take place at Kobe Hankyu from September 30 to October 5. The event features approximately 30 bakeries, including several making their debut such as THE CITY DONUTS, Bakery Vacance, and KIYOKA MORIMOTO. The festival highlights seasonal autumn flavors like chestnut and includes specialty items from across Japan, including bakeries from Kanagawa, Nagano, and Fukuoka.
Additionally, the 15th Tekuteku Pan Matsuri is scheduled for October 16 through October 18 at HDC Kobe. This event will host around 45 bakeries from Hyogo, Osaka, Wakayama, Fukuoka, and Nagano. The theme for this year is “spice bread,” alongside various savory and sweet options. The festival includes special activities such as time sales, a lottery for shopping vouchers, and a charitable “Yume Ticket” initiative where purchases help provide free bread to children in need.
