Kobelco Construction Equipment India launches three new excavator variants

Kobelco Construction Equipment India (KCEI) has unveiled three new excavator models in the 19.1–24 tonne category: the SK210, SK215LC, and SK230XDLC. These machines are designed to support India’s growing infrastructure sector, including investments in roads, highways, irrigation, and Himalayan tunneling projects.

The new excavators are manufactured at KCEI’s facility in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, as part of a localization strategy that has reached approximately 70%. The plant has an annual production capacity of roughly 3,500 units and has produced over 20,000 machines for domestic and international markets.

KCEI, a subsidiary of Japan-based Kobelco Construction Machinery Co, is targeting 8-10% year-on-year growth driven by rising infrastructure demand. The company has invested Rs 900 crore in its Indian operations and reports that exports currently account for 30% of its turnover.
