Kobylin approves demolition of market‑square building for new parking plan

The mayor of Kobylin, Tomasz Lesiński, and the municipal treasurer, Barbara Sławińska, signed an agreement to demolish the historic building on the town’s market square. The work will be carried out by the construction firm Zakład Budowlany JAN‑BUD from Zalesie Wielki, represented by owner Janusz Piskorski, for a contract value of 185 446.78 zł.

The demolition, overseen by the Wielkopolskie Wojewódzki Konserwator Zabytków, is scheduled to be completed by 30 November 2026. After removal, a front façade will be reconstructed to preserve the traditional character of the centre, and the cleared space will be developed into parking facilities to relieve congestion on the market square. "Mamy również dalekosiężne plany związane z tym miejscem" – Lesiński said, emphasizing the long‑term vision for the area.
