Kocaeli and Hakkâri Students Secure Top Rankings in Turkey's YKS Exam

Ali Eren Eryiğit, a graduate of ENKA Science and Technology High School in Kocaeli, placed 470th nationwide in the numeric track of the 2026 University Entrance Exam (YKS) with a score of 486.52, missing only one question. He credited the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality’s education programs, including the Academy Lise courses and access to several city libraries, and thanked Mayor Tahir Büyükakın for the support.

In Hakkâri, Büşra Ak from Yüksekova Anadolu İmam Hatip High School achieved first place in the verbal track for the province. School director Mustafa Can praised the students, teachers, and families, emphasizing the institution’s focus on both academic and moral education.

Both achievements highlight the role of local educational initiatives and municipal support in helping students attain high national rankings in Turkey’s competitive YKS exam.
