Kocaeli authorities launch tram campaign against violence against women

The Kocaeli Governor's Office and Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality have launched a joint awareness campaign to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on November 25.

As part of the initiative, a specially designed tram featuring orange-themed graphics will operate throughout the city during November. The tram displays messages such as “Stop violence against women” and “Violence against women is a crime against humanity,” alongside imagery promoting a safe life for women. The campaign also aims to increase visibility for support mechanisms, specifically highlighting the Women Support Application (KADES) and the ALO 183 helpline.

In addition to the tram service, the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality is conducting preventive services, including seminars and talks, at Mother City centers to increase social awareness and inform women about available support resources.
