Kocaeli Book Fair to host ‘İnsan Hatırlar’ opening program

The 16th International Kocaeli Book Fair is scheduled to take place at the Kocaeli Congress Center from October 3 to October 11.

The opening event, titled ‘İnsan Hatırlar’ (Humans Remember), will be held on October 2 at 19:30. This 55-minute program aims to explore themes of love, family, migration, homeland, and loss by drawing inspiration from the works of authors such as Kemal Tahir, Yaşar Kemal, Cengiz Aytmatov, Victor Hugo, and Nazan Bekiroğlu.

The performance will feature a narrator, three soloists, a municipal conservatory chamber orchestra, and traditional Turkish musical instruments, accompanied by cinematic imagery and visuals derived from book pages.
