Kocaeli hosts national photography competition

Applications are ongoing for the ‘4 Seasons of Kocaeli National Photography Competition,’ an initiative aimed at capturing the natural, historical, and cultural richness of Kocaeli. Led by the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality and approved by the Turkish Federation of Photographic Art (TFSF), the event is organized in collaboration with the Kocaeli Photography Art Association (KASK) and the Gölcük Photography and Cinema Art Association (GFSD).

Under the theme ‘You Will Believe Your Eyes,’ the competition invites both amateur and professional photographers to submit works by November 8. The contest features four main categories: ‘Tourism and Cultural Life in Kocaeli,’ ‘Metropolitan Kocaeli,’ ‘Kocaeli from the Air,’ and ‘Underwater Kocaeli.’

Prize money includes 50,000 TL for first place, 30,000 TL for second, and 20,000 TL for third in each category. Additional awards include a 15,000 TL ‘Kocaeli Postcard Special Award’ and 3,500 TL for works deemed worthy of exhibition.
