Kocaeli International Book Fair to host 515 publishers in October

The 16th International Kocaeli Book Fair is scheduled to take place from October 3 to October 11 at the Kocaeli Congress Center. Organized by the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, the event is noted for its high number of activities, discussions, and visitors.

This year's fair will feature 515 publishing houses and 1,065 scheduled events, bringing together hundreds of authors and literature enthusiasts. Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Secretary General Dr. Hayri Baraçlı shared details regarding the fair's theme and program during a recent launch.

To facilitate attendance, a comprehensive transportation plan has been established. This includes free shuttle services, ferry trips, and university ring services. Temporary traffic adjustments will be implemented on Salim Dervişoğlu Street on October 3-4 and October 10-11. During these periods, certain directions will be closed to traffic, and visitors will be directed to free parking areas at the coast and İzmit Millet Bahçesi, with shuttle services connecting the lots to the fairgrounds.
