Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality imposes fines on traffic violators and unlicensed music venue

The Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality’s council approved 81 agenda items and continued its crackdown on activities that disturb public order. Inspectors fined 79 private‑bus drivers for violations such as refusing passengers, smoking on board, ignoring schedules and carrying illegal accessories, issuing administrative penalties totaling 292,695 Turkish lira.

In a separate action, the municipality’s Environment Protection and Control Department penalised an entertainment venue that operated without a music‑broadcast licence, imposing a fine of 1,258,527 Turkish lira. Both measures were confirmed by the council’s encümen meeting.
