Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality opens free community event house

The Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality has launched the ‘Gönül Bahçem Davet Evi’ (Gönül Bahçem Invitation House) to provide free event spaces for families and women. Located within the Anne Şehir Social Life Center in İzmit, the facility is designed for intimate, boutique gatherings rather than large-scale organizations.

The venue hosts various traditional and personal ceremonies, including marriage proposals, baby celebrations, circumcision ceremonies, and religious gatherings. To support local economy and female employment, the municipality directs families seeking catering suggestions toward local women's cooperatives.

While families provide their own food, the municipality provides tea and water for guests free of charge and prepares the service tables within the venue.
