Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality to open Lokomotif Children's Village

Construction is underway for the Lokomotif Children's Village in Karamürsel, a project initiated by the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality as part of its ‘Child-Friendly Kocaeli’ vision. Located on Çınar Street in the Kordon area, the center is designed to serve children aged 3 to 6.

The facility will feature seven specialized education wagons where expert instructors will lead age-appropriate activities, games, and practical learning sessions. In addition to the educational wagons, the site will include an agricultural garden for hands-on plant cultivation and ‘Loko Sahne,’ a venue dedicated to theater, music, and various workshops.

This project marks the fourth location for the initiative, following previous sites in Doğu Kışla, Vinsan, and Gebze. The Karamürsel center is expected to open to the public by the end of this year, specifically targeting the November-December period.
