Kocaeli Municipality launches 66 million TL seed subsidy program

Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality has launched its autumn distribution of 50 percent subsidized forage crop seeds. The initiative, which began in Kandıra, aims to support local agricultural production amidst global food and agricultural crises.

The program involves the distribution of 1,250 tons of seeds at a total cost of 66 million TL. This support is intended to reach 2,950 farmers across eight districts, covering approximately 91,000 decares of agricultural land.

Mayor Tahir Büyükakın emphasized the municipality's commitment to strengthening agricultural production and supporting producers to prevent farmers from abandoning their land.
