Malatya Mayor Sami Er Announces New Science Center for Youth

Malatya Metropolitan Mayor Sami Er told attendees at the DENEYAP Aviation and Space Technology Project Fair that the city will soon open a new Science Center. He said the facility will allow young people to "meet science, technology and production" and further develop their skills.

Er linked the project to Turkey’s broader "National Technology Movement" and noted the support of the Youth and Sports Ministry, the Ministry of Industry and Technology, TÜBİTAK and the Turkey Technology Team Foundation. The announcement was made alongside presentations by middle‑school teams showcasing sustainable‑living capsule prototypes at the fair.

The mayor emphasized that the Science Center is part of the municipality’s efforts to invest in youth development and to position Turkey as a leading player in defence and electronic warfare technologies.
