Kocaeli stages city theatre season finale and Caucasian culture year‑end show

The Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality’s City Theatres concluded their season with a total audience of 86,538, presenting four new productions—“Kusursuz Dünya’ya Yolculuk”, “Sinan”, “Unutmak” and “Karar”—alongside a repertoire of long‑running plays. The troupe toured to Bursa, Istanbul, Adana and the 10th Berlin Turkish‑German Theatre Festival, and wrapped the season on 23 May with the play “Masanın Altında” at the Ordu City Theatre Festival.

Separately, the Kocaeli Caucasian Culture Association held its year‑end show at the Kocaeli Congress Center, featuring dance performances by youth groups and drawing participants from Düzce, Sakarya and Yalova. Association president İbrahim Uygun highlighted the aim to connect young people with their cultural heritage, while the deputy mayor of Kocaeli, Berna Abiş, conveyed the municipal mayor’s support for the event.
