Kocaeli Tourism and Bicycle Festival opens 90‑km Zambak Yolu in Kandıra

The Kocaeli Tourism and Bicycle Festival will be held from 11 to 13 September in Kandıra, Kocaeli Province. Organized by the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, the Kocaeli Governor’s Office, Kandıra Municipality and the Kocaeli Bicycle Platform, the free event invites domestic and international cyclists to ride a 90‑kilometre, five‑stage route called the Zambak Yolu.

The course runs along the Black Sea coast and forest trails, passing beaches such as Kerpe, Kumcağız, Kefken, Kovanağzı, Cebeci and Babalı, as well as cultural landmarks like the Akçakoca Monument, Kerpe Eagle Cliffs and Pink Rocks. Participants can also join camp programmes, local food tastings and other social activities. Applications open on 7 August through the festival website.
