Kocaeli tourism development focuses on master plan and four-season growth

Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy visited Kocaeli to discuss the development of the region's tourism sector. A primary focus of the visit was the proposal to create a tourism master plan for Kocaeli to ensure a holistic approach to the city's natural, coastal, and cultural assets.

During meetings with non-governmental organizations and the Kocaeli Chamber of Commerce, officials discussed strategies to expand tourism activities across all four seasons. Ersoy also inspected local sites, including the Körfez Aqua Aquarium, İzmit Millet Bahçesi, and the Kartepe Cable Car at Kuzuyayla Nature Park.

In broader remarks, Ersoy highlighted Turkey's economic and technological progress over the last 24 years, noting the country's position as the world's 16th largest economy and its advancements in defense and infrastructure. He emphasized the goal of positioning Turkey at the top of the global tourism industry.
