Kocaelispor signs Gonçalo Sousa and Jonathan Panzo

Kocaelispor has announced the signing of two new players as part of its ongoing transfer strategy focused on young, low-cost talent. The club secured 20-year-old Portuguese winger Gonçalo Sousa on loan from Porto. Sousa, who has experience with Porto’s B team and has been included in UEFA Europa League squads, joins following a season where he recorded six goals and five assists in 30 matches.

Additionally, the club signed 25-year-old defender Jonathan Panzo from Nottingham Forest on a 1+1 year contract. Panzo, an Ivorian-born player who has played in England, can operate as both a left-sided center-back and a left-back.

These moves follow a commitment from club president Recep Durul to announce four new transfers within a ten-day period. The club is also expected to welcome a new forward player in the coming days.
