Kocani Parents Stage 45th March for Angels to Demand Official Accountability

On a recent evening, parents of victims of the "Pulse" fire in Kocani, North Macedonia, gathered for the 45th annual March for Angels. The march began at 18:05 from Revolution Square, with participants calling for truth and justice.

Speakers, including Roseta Jamova, sister of a boy who died in the blaze, questioned whether officials had performed their duties responsibly before the fire. Jamova said, "The biggest tragedy is not that 63 people did not return home but that the clock was not precise." Alexander Naunov, president of the local civil society group, added, "No one demands a verdict without evidence," stressing systemic problems and the need for proper evidence.

Representatives of the Union of Fighters from the NOB in Skopje attended in solidarity. After the march, participants planted young trees at the sports hall of Nikola Karev School, naming the site "Kocani Angels" as a symbolic gesture of remembrance and hope.
