Kocasinan Municipality expands Kayseri green spaces via large-scale nursery

Kocasinan Municipality is expanding the green infrastructure of Kayseri through its extensive plant nursery operations. Located in the Oruçreis neighborhood, the nursery produces over 525,000 plants, including trees, shrubs, medicinal and aromatic plants, and indoor ornamental species.

Spanning a total area of 50,000 square meters, the production centers in Oruçreis and Gömeç have been modernized into advanced facilities. Additionally, a 10,000 square meter Plant Mortar Production Facility recycles excavation soil at a capacity of 1,000 cubic meters per day to create fertile soil for landscaping, promoting a sustainable production model.

Mayor Ahmet Çolakbayrakdar stated that the initiative aims to enhance the city's aesthetic beauty, strengthen its green texture, and contribute to the national economy while providing a more livable environment for citizens.
